BUTIA CAPITATA: Pindo Palm, Jelly Palm

 

Cold hardy (safely) into the 20s. Drought tolerant and low maintenance.

Plant in full sun to partial shade in a well draining soil. Slow growing.

 

With young Pindos: 

It is important that you do not over water as roots have a tendency to rot.

Cover when the temperature nears freezing.

They will become more cold tolerant with maturity.
